Maybe the MPEG2 versions could be made at 24fps, rather than the interlaced versions available in the features I've downloaded so far? Most new movies are released that way - DVD players introduce the appropriate pulldown on the fly, and it allows better picture quality due to a lower level of compression, because of the 6 fewer frames per second. I'm sure most people who download the MPEG2 versions are burning them to DVD anyway. DVD Architect and other software allows the use of 24fps files.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Since the source of these films is video tape (one-inch, Beta SP) there's not a simple way to just make a 24 fps file.

Still doing research...
